Our "Paws Above the Rest" Services
Our professionally trained, personal pet/house sitters will provide the utmost love and care for your furry, finned,
or scaly family members (and no, we don't mean hairy Uncle Ed with the skin condition!). We offer daily, hourly,
and overnight sits, as well as unique services not commonly offered by other sitters, such as airport
transportation for pets or humans, lifetime guaranteed pet tags, ultra-durable collars/leashes, and specialty gift
baskets. Visit our PET STORE link for more information. We have a vet on-call and all of our staff are
experienced animal caregivers, some of which have been vet tech's, and most are certified in animal first aid and
CPR. Our pet sitters undergo an extensive screening and background check process before they are hired with
my company, to ensure the safety and security of our clients. Each home is assigned two sitters; one is always
me, the owner, and the other a trained sitter. This way if one of us is every sick or unable to perform the sit for
some reason, there is always a backup. We make sure your house looks just like you left it and we'll even sweep
up pet hair from tiled floors, & keep counters and tabletops clean and dust free. Each pet sit includes:
* Exercise and Interactive Play
* Administering meds/shots
* Senior care for disabled and/or insulin dependent pets
* Feeding/refilling water, keeping food bowls and main home areas clean
* Rotating lights, playing radio/tv, open/close blinds, and overnight stays (if needed) to deter theft
* Performing perimeter security checks and inside spot checks for pet accidents
* Bringing in mail, packages and newspapers
* Keep a journal/leave notes, and/or send email updates of pet behavior and any house issues
* Watering plants, etc.
* Meeting repair ppl or delivery ppl for you
* Any little extras you may want us to take care of
DISCOUNTS are offered to clients needing long-term pet care or who book several services at one time!
(Discounts are practically unheard of in this biz.)
Why I Do What I Do-do
It's my parents fault that I'm crazy about animals. As a child I wasn't allowed to have any pets except goldfish.
Goldfish that I won at a carnival, mind you. Goldfish are not cuddly, interactive, or furry. I wanted a furry dog
who would play with me and be my best friend. My goldfish tried the best they could to fill that role but they had
issues. They didn't do well out of water, and couldn't play much except the game "fish out of water" which
consisted of them flopping around on the floor gasping for breath (this wasn't terribly fun for either of us). And
when they did get furry, it usually meant their bowl needed a good cleaning. And so began my pilgrimage
towards pet care.
My Experience and Life Education
In my life I've had dogs; now own 3 cats and a hamster; and a multitude of foster animals have been loved and
placed in forever homes. I began pet/house sitting for friends, family, and business associates in 1996. I
volunteered at vet offices, rescue shelters, and SPCA's. I learned basic animal first aid, how to administer shots
and meds, how to properly groom dogs and cats, and have taken many college courses in pet care. I've raised
many litters of kittens and have had various other strays pass through such as ducks, squirrels, raccoons, and
birds. I've been caring for pets both in Florida, and my home state of Pennsylvania, for over 17 years. I have the
references to prove it! I continue educating myself through college animal science and business courses, and
volunteering with various animal rescue organizations. I'm licensed to have a business in the state of Florida,
insured AND bonded and a member of Pet Sitters International (the "better business bureau" of pet sitters) and a
house sitter professional. What more could you ask for! = )
